wathgolfclub.co.uk

Wath Golf Club : 2008 - Present

Wath already had a website that they weren't happy with, it looked unprofessional and they were having trouble getting their current (at the time) supplier to update the site when they wanted. They also did have a members area that was rarely updated.

LGWD were able to provide a more aesthetically pleasing website that was rich in content. WGC were also provided with a means of being able to update the site themselves with no "technical" knowledge required.

roundwoodgolfclub.co.uk

Roundwood Golf, Sports & Social Club: 2008 - Present

Roundwood didn't have a website and were feeling behind in the net revolution. Roundwood had email services provided through their ISP but their email address looked unprofessional and this is what prompted them to look into having a website developed which they could then take email with.

Looking at the success of the Wath site, Roundwood sought advice from LGWD on the best way forward. LGWD provided a design that met all the requirements of the organisation and provided them with the site within 3 months.

Again, Roundwood required the ability to update the site themselves which was provided.

LGWD have also being key in the development of the IT development in Roundwood office by providing updates to their main office computer and building a new system for a secondary office worker.

funds4clubs.net

Funds4Clubs.net : 2011 - Present

Funds4Clubs.net was a startup business that decided to go for a free.webs website, but soon found the limitations and poor design that came with it.

Knowing of LGWD, they contacted the company and within 4 month the site was live. This is one of the most complex sites that LGWD has tackled and included:

  • Google Maps with searchable radius against a database of locations
  • Google calendar integration linked from Map Markers
  • Paypal Web Payments integration with Logic test form submission

F4C also have access to ad administrative "back-end" so that they can update and alter certain values on teh site without touching (or breaking) any of the layout and design which suited them perfectly.

thesouthyorkshireendtoenders.org.uk

The South Yorkshire End to Enders : 2009 - 2010

A relative of LGWD was conducting a charity cycle ride, North to South UK, and therefore LGWD offered the services of a fully designed, hosted and maintained site for the cause. This was met with great joy and the group were thrilled with the outcome.

The site was linked in with the other social media aspects that had been setup to advertise the event and the site provided a portal for inspirational messages of encouragement to be left as well as a principle area for information to be relayed to followers.

After the successful completion of the ride, the site remained open until the end of the domain lease where it was then moved to an archive location on LGWD servers.

colwynbay4.org.uk

Colwyn Bay 4 : 2009 - Present

Colwyn Bay 4 is a Christian Youth venture (camp) supported by CPAS. The organisers of CB4 have links with LGWD through ministry and worship, and LGWD got involved with the construction of a new website to support the venture.

With a strict set of guidelines and regulations provided by CPAS, LGWD was able to create a template and subsequent website that fit the bill.

The site boasted two members area, one for the youth and the other for the leaders where the organisers could contact and provide materials and resources for both parties.

In the later stages of the site, there was a step by step walkthrough system for booking a place on the summer venture which has since being removed due to CPAS launching an online payment system that had to be used instead.

The colours for the site change each year to follow CPAS guidelines and the site remains in full control of CB4 organisers with LGWD occassionally providing some support with additional features.

smallworldsilver.co.uk

Small World Silver, Derby: 2010 - Present

LGWD was approached by Small World Silver, a small independant jewellers based in Derby's Cathedral Quarter.
After a brief meeting with the client, LGWD was able to provide a comprehensive design fitting the company's colour scheme and utlising their shop sign as the main logo for the website.

SWS were very helpful by providing a whole host of photos that were able to be used on the site to "spruce" it up a little, and make it feel professional yet welcoming and not over commercial.

The site was updated monthly over the first 12 month and feedback from the client was positive. At the moment, the site is being updated bi-monthly with new designs and new images.

The site is made simple and easy to navigate with options for increasing/decreasing font size for

minibuses-4-u.co.uk

Minibuses 4 U : 2011 - Present

Minibuses4U is a small company providing minibus hire services in the local area. LGWD were orginally commissioned to design a site for their first company Streecars of Wath, however when this company was sold, the design was then shifted to M4U's focus.

The most complex component of this website was the high logic testing submission form for making enquiries. M4U requested that the site gather as much information as possible to accommodate their reservation system, so this was put into place with a series of logic questions where the outcome dictated which part of the form they then filled in. The results were then formatted and emailled to M4U and a confirmation email sent to the "booker".

After extensive testing, the site was launched early 2011 and has generated leads for the company.

life-after50.com

Life After 50 : 2009 - 2010

LGWD was approached by Shona Garner, an entrepeneur in niche markets. LGWD was asked to follow a technique of "Squeeze" pages whereby alot of sales patter is offered to the user in order for them to take part in a survey or offer of a product.

The client was fully satisfied with the design and look of the page/site as it met all criteria offered.

Unfortunately, because of the niche'ness of the target market, the venture failed.

The page remains archived for viewing here.

The backend of this Squeeze page was a set of four message boards and forum like areas which would provide areas for social interaction.
