SHS is looking for candidates who are:

• aged between 18 and 30 years old;
• single with no dependent children;
• outgoing and flexible;
• happy to help with childcare and don’t mind doing light household duties;
• educated to the equivalent of the French Baccalaureate (“A” Levels);
• reasonable level of spoken French to GCSE level or above and willing to attend a French language course, if required by the Local Authority;
• able to meet both their own travel costs from and to the UK (unless subsidised by the host family) and the SHS Placement Fee of £50 payable on agreeing a placement with a French family;
• in good health and have no criminal convictions.
