If you can answer yes to all of the following questions then an SHS Au Pair may be just the right solution for you and your family to survive the school holidays. Go on - put us to the test!
- Can you provide your Au Pair with all their meals and their own private bedroom, not shared with other family members? (An ensuite facility is not necessary.)
- Would you be willing to pay pocket money to your Au Pair generally a minimum of £70 per week, depending on the number of hours worked and location?
- Would you be willing to welcome an Au Pair into your home as a family member?
- Would you assist your Au Pair to get to know about your culture and promote their language learning?
- Would you benefit from help with light domestic duties?
- Would you like the peace of mind that comes from knowing you’ve got the school holidays covered with your children in safe hands?
Please Note: At SHS we take the view that no Au Pair should be in sole charge of children under 2 years old. For this reason, if you have children under 2 years old we would need to be satisfied that another responsible adult would be around for a placement to be made.
