System Status

LGWD prides itself on the efficient response to customer enquiries and support issues and provide a dedicated portal for all issues and problems to be reported. This allows for tracking of problems and a full archive log along with a knowledgebase for a self help solution.

This page also contains information relating to any scheduled maintenance or system errors.

There are no known problems, if you think different, let us know.

GMail servers are now accepting our mail as normal

We're aware of problems with our clients being blocked from sending messages to Google Mail accounts and receiving: "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" emails.

We are working on the issue - please keep trying to send your emails once every 24 hours.

A further update will be posted when the issue has been resolved but we're at the mercy of Google at the moment.

If your message is important to your intended recipient, please contact them via alternative means.

Some clients may be experiencing some difficulties with sending emails to certain addresses.

This has been caused by the LGWD Server IP being accidentally listed on a "Common Black List" earlier in the week - it has been removed from the blacklist however, some mail servers refresh the list at longer intervals than others and so it can take up to a week for them to start accepting mail from you again.

We're sorry about the inconvenience this causes, but the listings are automatic and not always 100%.

The lists are a real help and are part of the constant battle with the increased amount of SPAM and we use the lists as a reference for blocking a large amount of SPAM also.

The best advice for if you get a "Undelivered mail returned to Sender" is wait 24 hours and try again.

Unless anyone knows different, normal service is underway.

Some customers will have experienced trouble with submitting tickets through the support system recently. At the same time, some customers will have noticed that submission forms and mailers will not have worked on their sites.
This was down to a troubleshooting exercise to locate a rouge script which was running the sendmail PHP function into overdrive on the server. For this reason, the sendmail capability was switched off server-wide so that it could be located and removed.

This has now been completed and all site functions have been restored.

As part of a further strategy to reduce the amount of SPAM reaching your mailboxes, the SPAM filter on LGWD Servers has been upgraded. This filter now works harder to test the messages before they have the chance to reach your inbox.

For those interested, of the 6 hours the filter has been in place and online, it has stopped and rejected 2314 messages from entering the server. This has been done to ensure that as much SPAM as possible can be filtered out and stop irritating customers, as well as making sure that legitimate emails are not filtered!
